Mary is a Pioneer Valley native who was born in Springfield and raised in Agawam. Mary is an attorney (MA) and a CPA (FL). She holds a B.A. (English) from UMASS Amherst, a J.D. from the UCONN School of Law, an LL.M (Taxation) from the BU School of Law, and an MS (Accounting)/MBA from Northeastern University. Mary's expertise is in tax research and controversy. She has experience in public accounting (including eight years in the Big 4) and private industry. Mary spent fourteen years teaching tax courses in the Florida Atlantic University Masters programs. She also has government experience having been an Appeals Officer and Technical Guidance Coordinator in the IRS Independent Office of Appeals. At MBK, Mary is the research and training go-to. Also, she is revamping the undergraduate tax curriculum at the Northwestern University School of Professional Services.
